Be carefull there are no backdoors to Eternal Life. Jesus said " I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me."
Sects such as Jehovah Witnesses & Mormons teach a different Jesus to the Jesus of the Holy Bible.
They make Jesus into a created being instead of Lord & Creator, God the Son.

Seeking God ?
It is not enough to 'Believe in God' - we need to Believe God- in other words believe what He said in His Word and ACT on it ! The undeserved kindness of God is ours as a Gift, but we have to recieve it
and trust in Jesus Christ alone.

God loves even me !

Know first that God does love you personaly. He knows your name and it is His Will that you find Him. He made only one way for you to have one on one fellowship with Him. "For God loved the world so much that He gave His Only Son, so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life". ( John 3:16. Living Bible )
Receive Him-Jesus Christ - into your life as Lord and Saviour.
"Right now God is ready to welcome you. Today He is ready to Save You" ( 2 Corinthians 6:2 )

Choices- Choices!

Which fellowship of Christians we meet with should of course be guided by The Holy Spirit our Advocate, Teacher & Comforter.
Being in submission and fellowship one with another in the Body of Christ is the right & proper thing to do but we should always be careful of not giving to man that which is rightfully only God's.
Remember, we are a priesthood of believers with our one and Only High Priest being Jesus Christ.

Authoritarian sects & fellowships seem to be on the rise lately- most have originated in the East
but have their modern day interpretation in the U.S.A. These sects from America have large amounts of cash to advertise - these are the Money Preachers!
Jesus said we cannot serve God & Money too; wewill love one and hate the other. The prosperity preachers have made their choice- have we?

Some groups will try to force or manipulate you into their mould.

Some teach the commandments of men as if they were the Word of God!

Some use the 'sacrements' to hold their converts, only the 'Minister' or 'Priest' being qualified to administer the ' Holy' rite.

Some disqualify more than half the fellowship from ministering to the Body of Christ because they were born Women!

Outcalled - I Wonder?

Outcalled.
This puts a whole new meaning on things when we are considering what - or rather - who-the Church is!

Religion had become Big Business when it was forcibly centered in Rome, so it is easy to see why the religious leadership would want the flock or body of Christians to be known as 'The Church'

People who put their trust in Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour become the Outcalled of God. Called out of this Worlds rulership ( including self appointed 'Religious') and into the Kingdom Rule of God.

Are you a born again of The Spirit child of God? Do you have the witness of The Holy Spirit that you are Saved from sin and now have Eternal Life? If so then you know you are a member of Christs Body and His Ekklesia ( Called Out Ones) So -- Which group of Christians will you meet with?

Giving to God - Location Location. Being in a local fellowship of believers ia a good idea as we will know the community better, it willbe easier to meet with each other and Evangelise our local area. We as a group of believers will have the opportunity to be known as Christians by the way we live in the community as well as our spoken witness of The Gospel.

Baby Steps

Hi, this is my first Blog , it is very late at night & I think this will be a VERY short blog ! I am slowly getting used to this retirement lark after 50 yrs of work as a baker, pastrycook & confectioner. They say ( I don't know who) that age brings wisdom but it seems to have passed me by. I do know however that "The fear of God is the begining of wisdom" so I must have some!
Wisdom is not what I presume to share here though. I want to share those 'I Wonder' moments that I & I believe most of us have in our daily lives. I Wonder right now why I started this thing !!

I Wonder - why when Jesus said His people would be One the same as He & The Father were one, are there so many different churches? Perhaps we should look at what 'church' means ?

At about the time the Bible was translated into Latin from the original Hebrew & Greek the religious leaders were fond of the phrase 'Kyriake Doma' ( The Lords House) because it reinforced their emphasis on religious buildings. Keep 'the faithfull' under one roof and they are easier to control & collect money for the 'organisation'.

Church for short.
Kyriake Doma was usually shortened to 'Kyriake' which became the German 'Kirken' the Scots 'Kirk' and the English 'Church'. So Church means a religious building .

When the New Testament was translated from the Greek into Latin the word church was used whenever the Greek word 'Ekklesia' was used. Sounds O.K.? It would be if that was what Ekklesia means! Actually it has a simple Latin translation, the word Evocare which in English means 'To call out'.
